Re-cycling, re-purposing and re-using
Use It All is our own local initiative. John collects a range of items and gives re-cycling advice third Friday (Britten Centre) and first Saturday (Compass St. Park) of each month (depends on weather so check FB and website). He gave an update of the project in March 2022 if you want to know more.... (see below)
Re-Utilise can be found at 209 Whapload Road and is a new SCRAP STORE & PAINT RE-USE resource (designer paints at knock-down prices)
At the First Light Recovery Market we met Kate from We Wear The Trousers who runs 'make and mend' classes so you can keep your favourite clothes for longer (also find Cate in the Samaritans on Tuesdays and Saturdays if you want repairs done or to learn 'how to' yourself)
Got a lot of stuff? The Recycling Centre on The South Lowestoft Estate is run by Suffolk County Council (you need to make an appointment which makes it more efficient).
Worried about utility bills? Take a look at some of these carbon-reducing tips.
